Managed to sneak in a few hours with the camera..couple of dawn/early morning shoots. One at Kelly Hall Tarn and the other was incidental photography as I was driving over the top of Wrynose Pass!

Been a while since I’ve had a chance to get out with the camera. I love these slate fences. Seen in the South Snowdonia area near Nantlle and the Ffestiniogs. I always look at images with landscape and portrait view in mind as sometimes an image works better when viewed in a specific format. However, with this one I could not decide so have printed both and they will soon be available in Bodnant Craft Centre and the Galeri at Betwys Y Coed.
Range of panoramic prints will shortly be available to buy through the website. Prints are 3:1 ratio and approximately 60 cm by 20cm.
The beautiful Lleyn Peninsula is stunning at this time of year…..managed a few days over there last week and even did a boat trip to Bardsey Island. Something I have been trying to do for years but the weather gods were always against me…..images can be found in the ‘Angelsey and Lleyn Peninsula’ gallery.
While waiting for the mountain bike to be repaired I did a walk in Llandegla woods, (home of ‘One Planet Adventure’ mountain bike centre) and hit lucky with some lovely evening light….I have added both images to the North East Wales Gallery.
I ventured down to the Ceredigion coast in May and to South Wales to have a look at Nash Point in Glamorgan. Fantastic rock formations…just got around to looking at the memory card of images and sorting a few out….Had a busy few months. At the start of the month I was in Edinburgh for the opening evening of Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year. Great to see my Berneray seascape in large print and meet some of the other photographers…looking forward now to Autumn and some great seasonal colour!!
I love the time of year when everything turns purple. The heather is starting to show and almost in full bloom in some areas, the wild croscosmia is going to be out in the next few weeks and the water lillies are in full swing in some of the lakes and tarns of Snowdonia……time to get out with the camera again. Image of Y Garn and Foel Goch taken this weekend from Llyn Ogwen!
Some new images taken for the Llangollen Tourist Information Centre…I came across this local scene a few weeks ago. Unusual to find so many in a field and not in a shady woodland……
Managed to get down to Criccieth castle as had a few requests for images…..got lucky with a great sunset…Images are located in the Anglesey and Lleyn Peninsula gallery.
